>>SURREY-BASED firm Wardray Premise Ltd has secured a contract to supply and install lead shielding for the revolutionary Cyberknife cancer treatment machine.
The new deal covers calculations, design, testing and final commission of the shielding for use on the ground-breaking robotic radiosurgery system ¬- a non-invasive alternative to surgery for the treatment of tumours anywhere in the body.
Construction at the site in already underway and it is hoped treatments will start in early 2009.
