Euro-IX Launches Euro 35,000 Film Competition to Tell the Story of the Internet

The film-competition is a collaborative initiative of Euro-IX members and patrons and is funded by the following main contributors: AMS-IX, DE-CIX, Equinix, JPNAP, RIPE NCC and Cisco. The competition is also supported by the following other exchanges: FICIX, NIX.CZ, VIX and NetNod.

"Equinix is always looking for new ways to help the public understand the role that internet exchanges play in the operation of the Internet," comments Eric Schwartz, President of Equinix in Europe. "We are excited about being involved with this project and we are looking forward to seeing how the film makers interpret and define the workings of the Internet".
