Mt. Carmel St. Ann's is home to a new $6.3-million cancer treatment machine – the first of its kind in central Ohio.

The CyberKnife will add to St. Ann's current cancer center, which has had a conventional radiation machine since 2001. The machine was purchased by Mt. Carmel in cooperation with U.S. Radio Surgery. A physicist, a medical director and two therapists trained at another CyberKnife location for a week and for an additional two weeks at St. Ann's before the machine was made available for patients.
