But after touring dozens of buildings, Accuray decided to stay put in one 74,000-square-foot building and bring employees from another building several hundred yards closer by leasing a 40,000-square-foot building next door. A bridge will be built to connect the two second floors so employees can walk back and forth between the two facilities.
Financial terms for the five-year lease were not released, but during negotiations, the monthly asking rate dropped from $1.95 a square foot to $1.50, the broker said.
