>>Health Minister Daniel Andrews revealed the Government will spend $8 million installing a new CyberKnife system at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre if it is returned to power on November 27.
Mr Andrews said the Australian-first technology would be up and running by the end of next year and would be used to treat about 200 patients in its first year.
The system administers radiotherapy with pinpoint accuracy, allowing doctors to target cancers in complex locations with big doses of radiation.
"We are committed to providing Victorians with world-class health services and the best treatment that will lead to increased cancer survival rates," Mr Andrews said.
