Thursday, BIDS Trading said it will deploy critical infrastructure for its alternate trading system into Equinix’s New York (NY4) International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data center. This was done to cut costs 40 percent, while increasing performance, according to Jim Lee, COO for BIDS Trading.

Deutsche Börse also said it will switch its trading engines to a Frankfurt-based data center owned by Equinix.

Direct Edge operates its two U.S. equity exchanges out of Equinix' NY4 data center in Secaucus, N.J.
