Equinix Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading global provider of network-neutral datacentres and Internet exchange services, today announced it is participating in the inaugural Green Data Centres Conference at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, London on 1-2 July 2008.

The Green Data Centres Conference will explore what can, and what is being done to achieve the Green Data Centre. Delegates will hear presentations from industry leaders in the development of IT Technology, the latest research and statistics as well as case studies from leading industry professionals.

Equinix’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Europe, Michael Winterson will be participating on the panel discussion ‘What techniques are there for measuring the operating efficiency of a data centre?’

Equinix was recently awarded the Green Award 2008 at the Data Centres Europe Awards ceremony for its credentials in the field managing its environmental impact. Together with customers, Equinix is working to address energy consumption in datacentres by pioneering new strategies that maximise space, minimise operating costs and lessen environmental impact. Providing the most efficient datacentre design and infrastructure is the single most significant impact Equinix can have in enabling customers to lower their energy consumption and cool their equipment located within its centres.
